One Crazy Week!!

Monday- Memorial Day
We had a pretty relaxing day we went to Clif's parents house for a cook out and I got to sit out by the pool. It was great to be out in the sun, since the whole week prior was nothing but rain and gray clouds.

Tuesday- back to work and my last official day as a full time teacher (for now) Which probably was a good thing that it ended on this day cause....well read on : } Around 4:30pm. I started having what I thought was false contractions also known as Braxton Hicks contractions. For those of you that don't know what those are they are contractions that happen to get your body ready for the real thing. At 5:00 I realised that I had had 6 of these contractions....I usually have 3-4 a day. So I thought to myself I don't think this is right. To make a long story short I was admitted to the hospital around 11:45pm that night.

Wednesday- I was still in the hospital sitting in the bed while they monitored the contractions that I was having. Along side me were Clif and his parents. Well Nina was sitting next to me, Clif and Brent were trying their hardest to make me laugh while breaking many latex gloves... So after 2 hours of monitoring We found out that I was having regular contractions every couple of minutes(which would be fine if I was full term) but with 8 weeks to go this was not good news. So I got some shots of Terbutaline (which stopped the contractions)and was put on bed rest for the rest of the day. So We got home around 3:00am and all was well....
Until 11:00 am when the contractions started again. I went to the doctors this time. and He told me that the contractions weren't changing my cervix at all (yeah : D) best news ever. He tested to see if I a protein that that causes pre-term labor and he gave me a perscription of terbutaline, that I now have to take every 6 hours to stop the contractions.

Thursday-More bed rest...uhhhh Which I had to be on until I got the results from the protein test!!!! If it was positive=bed rest for 8 weeks and negative= I could get off the couch and go back to normal life. So around 5:00 I got the results back and it was negative....Yes normal life (well a little less normal cause I have to take it easy) But taking it easy is way better then couch sitting!!!

Friday- I was able to go back to work which was so exciting for me. Clif and I went to my Sister Bailee's 8th Birthday party. Which means time for a Baptism!!

On a funny note: Some of side effects of the medicine I'm taking are feeling jittery and shakey....so needless to say I look pretty funny while trying the pick anything up or writing : )

So even though it was a Crazy week it was ok because it was all for our Little Girl. As long as she is healthy and happy, I will sit on a couch for her any day.
